In the process of inner liner for cigarette production, any solvents, additives, coatings, printing inks and adhesives which are harmful to human health or may influence the qualities of cigarette are prohibited. The volatile organic compounds applied in inner liner for cigarette should comply with the requirments as follows:
1. Benzene content＜ 0.01 mg/m2.
2. The total amout of the volatile organic compound of benzene homologs (toluene, ethyl benzene and xylene)≤ 0.5mg/m2.
3. The total amout of the volatile organic compound of ketones（acetone, cycolhexanone, 4-methyl-2-pentanone and 2-butanone）≤ 3.0mg/m2.
4. The total amout of the volatile organic compound of alcohols（methanol, n-propanol, iso-propanol, n-butanol, 1-methoxy-2-propanol and 1-ethoxy-2-propanol）≤ 15.0mg/m2.
5. The total amout of the volatile organic compound of esters（ethyl acetate, propyl acetate, butyl acetate, isopropyl acetate）≤ 5.0mg/m2.
If the indexes of the volatile organic compounds do not comply with these requirements, the lot of inner liner for cigarette is unqualified. |
